3rd Parties and Implementation Process Terms

Subcontracted ECs

·         Vetted Solutions is a state-licensed Electrical Contractor (EC) in Florida. Through reciprocity, that licensing is extended to multiple states across the US. We partner with numerous other electrical contractors throughout the US to successfully provide turnkey implementation services. The Vetted Regional Director will coordinate all subcontracted labor and be responsible for updating project timelines due to power delays not being ready/available at a location.

811

·         811 is the national call-before-you-dig phone number. Anyone who plans to dig should call 811 or go to their state 811 center’s website to request that the approximate location of buried utilities be marked with paint or flags so that you don’t unintentionally dig into an underground utility line.

Landowner / Property Owner

·         We must verify land ownership at the intended installation location. Suppose the landowner is private or another entity. In that case, it may require a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Revocable Licensing Agreement (RLA), or some other statement agreeing to terms for usage of the property. Example of Parcel Owner Information provided through County Property Appraiser site:

Permitting Agency

·         Once ownership of the property is confirmed, we must ensure the local or state government entity responsible for granting permits in that area allows for new poles or installation of new poles within the right of way.

NOTE: ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING FEES MAY APPLY IF PERMITTING REQUIREMENTS / EXPECTATIONS CHANGE FROM THE INITIAL SITE SURVEY ASSUMPTIONS.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

·         An agreement between two entities, in this reference, usually allows using land to install LPR equipment in the interest of public safety. Cities / Counties often sign MOUs allowing each other to install in their land with data sharing agreements between law enforcement agencies operating within the jurisdiction.

Revocable License Agreement (RLA)

·         Agreement between two permitting entities and requestor granting revocable terms for equipment installation. Local municipalities may require additional fees. For example, future road widening may be planned, and fees may be used to budget the cost of relocating equipment in future roadway renovations.

Department of Transportation (DOT)

·         Depending on property ownership and state and local laws, permits may be required at the state level. This is especially true for state roads and interstates. Our team is familiar with working through deployments and has options for MASH-tested poles with all equipment wind load, structural, snow, and ice calculations provided through engineering. We specialize in large state and countywide implementations and can assist in working through local and state regulations with DOT permit & engineering departments.
