Congratulations on the purchase of your new Fixed LPR system. This timeline provides general guidance and understanding of the next steps in implementation and customer responsibilities to get your system operational as quickly as possible.
Confirmation of Site Survey Documentation
· Vetted: Provide a complete site survey document confirming all locations, source power (where applicable), or solar. The site survey will include assumptions such as permit type, permit jurisdiction, pole counts, camera counts, source power & voltage, constant or timed power, bucket truck requirements, speed limit, number of lanes,
· Customer: Review Site Survey Details and confirm all information is accurate.
· Please Note: Each City, County, and state has different permitting requirements. Permitting fees may vary significantly from location to location.
Equipment Production / Permit Submittal
· Vetted: Once site survey documentation is confirmed, and contracting is executed, permitting submittal will commence, and equipment production will begin. If any state or local permitting fees are assessed during submittal, our project team will reach out for pass-through billing.
· Customer: Often, municipal, especially public safety projects, will have permitting fees waived. Please verify if the permitting body has a process for waiving any associated costs for City / County public safety projects. If not, please ensure all permitting fees are paid before the installation start date to avoid delays.
Installation of customer SIM card and Config File:
· Vetted: Once site survey documentation is confirmed and contracting is executed, production will provide device IMEI and request a SIM card from the end user during the build process. *If purchasing our Hardware as a Service Program, Cellular Service is included with your purchase, and we do not require a SIM* Production will also ask for confirmation of agency account LPR equipment is being attached to and config file for the LPR equipment to have attached before agency LEARN account before installation.
· Customer: Provide SIM Card to production during standard production cycle (if applicable). Provide CDMS or CDFS (whichever is applicable) config file during a standard production cycle.
· Please Note: We stock AT&T FirstNet SIMs. For customers wanting a FirstNet SIM, we need to be an authorized FirstNet POC on the agency account. We can provide SIM/activation on the agency account at no additional fee.
Final On-Site Survey
· Vetted: Once all equipment is ready for implementation, a delivery date will be coordinated. We will schedule a final walk-through and mark each source power (if applicable) and installation location.
· Customer: Final verification of locations / final approval prior to installation.
IF YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING HARDWARE AS A SERVICE & HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN EMAIL ASKING FOR YOUR SIM CARD 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION DATE, PLEASE REACH OUT TO YOUR VETTED SALES REPRESENTATIVE.
Requirements for Non-Hardware as Service Customers
AGENCY ISSUED SIM CARD – Vetted can provide a FirstNet SIM / activate on your existing FIRSTNET account. Otherwise, the SIM card needs to be shipped to our production facility to avoid delays in your trailer shipping
AGENCY CONFIG FILE – This requires a LEARN account, a system created on the account, and a user added to the user management list to be able to log in.
811 Locates
· Vetted: Will call 811 locate to mark out any underground utilities within a 10 ft radius of each proposed pole installation location.
· Please Note: 811 timelines may vary and is a 3rd party service whose timelines are outside our organizational control.
Install & Verification
· Vetted: We will commence with the installation of all camera locations. Upon completion, our team will confirm successful installation and that all plate reads are successfully uploaded to the agency LEARN account.
· Customer: Please verify that read rate/read accuracy aligns with expectations/traffic counts usually experienced for that area.
Finalization of Installation and Training
· Vetted: Once Installation has concluded, Regional Director will loop in the Customer Success Team for transition to an operational system.

***Please Note: On some occasions, subcontracted electricians and parties outside Vetted Security Solutions will be required to install power in turnkey implementations. Timelines in AC locations are subject to 3rd party scheduling. Permitting timelines vary from state to state and can affect implementation timelines.
